Alex Turner- XDL Faculty

ALEX TURNER

Principle/ Artistic Director

Youth Companies/All Disciplines/ Private Lessons

Alex Turner has trained extensively as a classical ballet dancer for 15 years alongside Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Lyrical disciplines. She has worked with many celebrated teachers including Choreographer Christopher Huggins of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. As a professional Alex went on to dance internationally with Film, TV, and West End Shows. She has worked with many well known celebrities, including Jamelia, Michael Jackson, Ronan Keating, Cliff Richard, The Cure, and Eartha Kitt. Alex has focused and challenged her creative abilities on Choreography & Artistic Direction within the entertainment industries and is a highly accomplished and respected teacher with a wealth of 40 years experience behind her. Her extensive knowledge also covers technique and performance skills. Alex coached the MS and Varsity Dance Teams for 4 years at ASL (American School of London). She currently teaches popular classes at the world famous Pineapple Studios in London and has established her own dance company.

Selena Welling- XDL Faculty

SELENA WELLING

Youth Companies/Lyrical/ Jazz/ Ballet/Acrodance/Private Lessons

Selena joined Extreme Dance London in 2012. She trained at the Carmel Academy of Performing Arts, now known as The Dance Center, in California. Through her training she studied ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and extensively competed at competitions throughout America, including LADF and WCDE. At age 16 she started choreographing at her high school and was promoted to Dance Company President in her Senior Year. Upon graduating early Selena returned to London and continued her training to further gain two internationally accredited qualifications, Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet Technique. Selena has also performed on the West End as a member of Alex Turner's Pineapple Dance Company. She also had the opportunity to perform in the Women's UEFA Championships Halftime Show in 2013. Through the past decade, she has won multiple choreography awards at international dance competitions. Selena proudly teaches at Extreme Dance London and enjoys watching dancers progress and develop through their training.

Vincent Merouze- XDL Faculty

VINCENT MEROUZE

Lyrical/ Contemporary/Street Dance

Vincent joined the Extreme Dance London faculty in 2021. Vincent was raised in China but attended multiple international schools in China, Australia, and South Korea. At the age of 18, he began to focus his training to pursue his passion to dance. Whilst living in Brisbane, Australia he was inspired and influenced by the commercial/ street dance styles. To further his dance training he then went on to study Ballet and Contemporary at the Broadway Dance Centre in New York. Vincent eventually landed an exclusive role in Stephen Schwartz's Musical 'Magic To Do' on board the Princess Cruise Line. Upon arriving to London he quickly established himself and studied under BalletBoyz. Vincent brings an energetic and vibrant energy to his classes and is thrilled to join the team at Extreme Dance London.
